Romil Patel


Romil Patel focuses his time on Vocate and new investments. Previously, he co-founded EMI, a medical devices startup and won the George Washington Innovation Task Force competition by creating a comprehensive plan to implement a health and wellness program for their employees. He has also published research in Cellular and Molecular Bioengineering. Romil graduated from Dartmouth College in 2016 with a Master of Engineering Management degree as a George Conrades Distinguished Fellow and holds a BS, cum laude, in Biomedical Engineering from The George Washington University.


Personal: Romil founded and captained the collegiate Polo team at GW and played forward for the Tuck Rugby team. Currently, pursuing less physically detrimental hobbies such as, world globetrotter, cooking and salsa dancing. Romil is most proud of growing up in Rhode Island as a first generation Indian American in the family retail wine and spirits business.
